'Banjo-Tooie' - Game review

8 out of 10

A great sequel to Banjo-Kazooie, now available on Xbox Live Arcade. If you like 3D platform games you simply have to play this. It's a bigger, less linear game than the original. That's mostly a good thing but it does sometimes feel like a lot of backtracking.

I played for over 20 hours and still didn't do everything there is to do. Most of that time was great fun. There are some levels I didn't like much (e.g. Jolly Roger's Lagoon) but others were great (e.g. Grunty Industries - though it seems I may be alone in liking that one).

Just like the port of BK, this hasn't been mucked about with, except that the fabled stop-n-swop now works and even has a potential sequel plumbed in. Frame rate is miles better than it ever was on N64.

If you have an Xbox 360 and like old-school goodness, buy it.
