'Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts' - Game review

A totally joyless failure of a 'sequel'. Bearing little resemblance to the earlier games, it has managed to suck all the fun out of exploring the levels. Kazooie is rendered completely useless and the costumisable vehicles that are your new companions are usually no fun to drive. It is technically impressive but so colourful (combined with a generally low-ish frame rate) it hurts your eyes to look at it for too long. While the humour is spot on and the physics a real achievement, it feels more like grinding through a job than playing a game. Only ultra-die hard Rare fans who appreciate all the in-jokes will get much out of this.
