The Premier League are thinking about playing an extra match each season... overseas! One extra game at a neutral location against a random team. The point? To make more money obviously! What else? Who cares about fans or players when you can make more money?

If you care about football email the Premier League to point out their lunacy.

Thanks Chris - I'd missed that. How stupid is that? Quite apart from the affect on fans, which plenty of people seem to be talking about, it's obviously going to have a detrimental effect on competition.
As I understand it, it's an extra game with the top 5 seeded to avoid each other... so imagine the scenario where the championship comes down to Man U v Villa and Arsenal v Derby as the "extra" games...
Unbelievable.
